The evolution of hiya
We set out on a journey to change how businesses in the creative industries approached recruitment, specifically job boards, and we ended up, well, here!
Listen to what people say, but more importantly, watch what they do. In the run-up to launching our job board, we heard lots of optimism for a platform that could transform hiring and recruitment, and then, we went live. We quickly noticed that people’s actions didn't quite align, old habits die hard! What we did realise is that we were on the right path.
People loved the idea that our job board could simplify the hiring process, offer exposure across LinkedIn and social media and, most importantly, help organise and store the influx of candidate applications a business receives.
We soon realised that companies didn’t necessarily have an issue with the available job boards when it came to driving application numbers. Their main struggles were centred around managing jobs and applications from various sources (direct, job boards, agencies). We knew we could help.
We took stock, assessed the market, and saw that SMEs were being left behind, alienated by the high costs of recruitment management tools or the complexity of the software. There was another way. And so, we set about building something new,
